Strengthening Youth Development |
![]() The Jericho Faith-Based Technical Assistance Project provides an opportunity for faith-based institutions to increase and enhance their youth programming and management capacity. This initiative is based on the premise that faith-based organizations are essential community-building institutions that are called upon to deliver services to youth in the congregation and the broader community against a backdrop of dwindling resources, hopelessness, fear and despair. The Jericho Project has introduced youth development to clusters of faith-based institutions, helping them to move from traditional teaching to more interactive methodologies where young people are engaged in planning. The Jericho Project also seeks to create a managerial/spiritual partnership with the institutions, which includes individual and group assessments and training. The network comes together for group training sessions, and shares information and experiences as well. The Jericho Project serves as a convener, facilitator and teacher, bringing expertise and resources to the clusters. |
