Over the last two decades, our President, Dr. Lisette Nieves and her team have driven notable and impactful leadership development initiatives with cross-sectoral leaders and organizations across the country. We are excited to share that she is continuing to build on this work by leading significant capacity building initiatives at Fund for the City of New York.
Last week, Fund for the City of New York hosted the Rising Leaders Program Retreat which convened a cohort of 20 exceptional professional women who are in their mid-career stage to advance their leadership within the non-profit sector. It is important to note that woman in the age group of 28-35 who are at the middle stage of their career receive the least amount of professional development.
Throughout the retreat, an asset-based framework was leveraged to train participants to advance their leadership and support the work they do. The cohort also benefited from professional coaching and expanding their social capital. We are looking forward to continuing to build on this important initiative. Special thanks to our partners and sponsors, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC, exalt, Jobs for the Future, United Way of New York City and Year Up.
