Bio
Daniel Stigall is pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Urban Development and Sustainability at the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College. He first gained an interest in urban policy while earning a B.A. in Political Science at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Daniel now resides in Brooklyn, where he has seen first-hand how the implementation of even forward-thinking policy can clash with neighborhood sensibilities. He has become especially interested in how noise abatement efforts can better accommodate disparate cultural norms. At Baruch, he has also worked to understand local transportation policy and North America’s addiction to the car. Daniel volunteers as an admissions interviewer and alumni committee member for his alma mater and helps plan environmental actions with 350 Brooklyn. He also worked as a Scholarships Specialist for The San Diego Foundation where he worked with a small team to continue and grow one of the state’s largest community scholarships programs with nearly 150 donor funds and over 1000 awards given per year. In his free time, he enjoys reading The Power Broker in Prospect Park and cooking overly ambitious meals for friends and family.
