Bio
Alishah Khan is pursuing a master’s degree in Architecture at The Bernard & Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at City College. She previously earned a B.A. in Fine Arts, Interior Design at the New York Institute of Technology, where she developed an interest in designing spaces that are socially and economically conscious, as well as experiences that are unbiased. Alishah had the opportunity to research the environment and culture of Arizona and design dwellings that speculated the conditions of Arco Santi, AZ, 50 years from now. Understanding the impact and importance that architecture has on the future strengthened her passion for being a vocal proponent of sustainable design. This past year, Alishah was a student assistant at a robotics lab. She developed an understanding of the connection between human and mechanical design work, which further piqued her interest in robotic ecologies. Alishah is interested in community preservation, climate change, sustainable housing, and design as well as ecological architecture. Outside of her career pursuits, Alishah enjoys photography and creative writing.
