Bio
Jed Higdon is a master’s candidate at NYU Robert F Wagner School of Public Service Master of Urban Planning. He graduated from UNC Chapel with a degree in Environmental Science and a second major in Geography. Jed’s past research projects have examined fleet electrification, street pedestrianization, and green infrastructure interventions for storm water management. He is particularly interested in understanding how street segments can be changed to better serve multimodal transportation types. Jed worked for Dollaride, a NYC-based transportation startup focused on providing solutions for people living in transit deserts, prior to coming to NYU Wagner. This summer Jed is working for NYCHA on an organic waste management project designed to improve the resident experience while decreasing odor and pests. In his free time, Jed enjoys reading, exploring the city by bike, watching movies, and playing club sports.
