Bio

Milcah Slater is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, CUNY Baruch College. She previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications with a concentration in Law and Policy from CUNY Baruch College. Milcah was heavily involved in student government at Kingsborough Community College and was selected as a representative for the Administration of Children’s Services Interagency Task Force to help achieve the goal of improving the foster care system within NYC. One of Milcah’s aspirations is to transform impoverish communities by being a connector in providing resources and programs to community members and businesses. She has volunteered at her local garden for over two years and has assisted hundreds of homeless individuals across Manhattan and Brooklyn. Professionally, Milcah has over five years of extensive experience in the field of as a Classification and Compensation Analyst at the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) and has worked for more than a year as a Homeless Outreach worker at a non-profit agency.
