Yutong Zheng is pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, specializing in Social Impact, Innovation, and Investment. Her academic journey is driven by a commitment to leveraging strategic investments and policy innovation to tackle pressing urban challenges, such as affordable housing, economic development, and public health disparities. Before graduate school, Yutong conducted in-depth research at a leading think tank, exploring the impact of microcredit on disaster recovery in developing countries. This project deepened her understanding of how financial tools can empower communities and drive sustainable development. Additionally, her volunteer work at the Beijing LGBT Center has shaped her approach to social equity, as she led campaigns to raise awareness and promote inclusivity. Yutong’s dedication to social justice is informed by her diverse experiences and a strong belief in the transformative potential of public service. She aspires to work in urban planning and social impact investment, focusing on creating resilient communities that prioritize equity and inclusion.
